Ludlow bank robbed twice in less than a month

LUDLOW, KY (FOX19) - Ludlow Police are investigating after the Huntington Bank was robbed on Thursday afternoon for the second time in less than a month.

Officers were called to the bank, located at 300 Elm Street, around 2 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities say that the suspect entered the bank just before 2 p.m. wearing a plastic bag over his face and a jacket pulled up with a hood. Police have described the suspect as a white male with light colored hair. He is believed to be between 40-50 years old.

The suspect told bank employees that he had a handgun, took cash and ran out the door.

A Sheriff's K9 from the Kenton County Anti-Crime Unit was called and was able to track the suspect a short distance. Officers believe the suspect got into a vehicle where the K9 lost the trail.

Police say it is possible that the suspect got into a gold color minivan, possibly a newer model Dodge Caravan, with a female driver.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the Ludlow Police Department at 859-392-2868.

The bank was recently robbed on April 10.

Officers say that Matthew Wolfinbarger, 26, entered the bank and demanded cash. Ludlow Police said no weapon was displayed and Wolfinbarger ran off on foot with cash.
