The Douglas County, Georgia Sheriff's Office confirms they recovered the stolen red Dodge Charger wanted from a kidnapping at the Carl Gregory dealership in Columbus.

Four men were arrested in the vehicle after a high speed chase on I-20 and one of them was shot by law enforcement. They are currently in the Douglas County Jail.

Dejonquavius Shine was one of those men arrested. Columbus Police obtained a high jacking of a motor vehicle warrant for him, and he will be sent to Columbus at a later date.

Authorities first caught on to the stolen vehicle when the suspects responded to a Craigslist ad Friday in Douglas County. They met with a person trying to sell a black Mercedes and they used the same line about wanting to buy the car before stealing it from him at gunpoint.

Douglas County deputies spotted the stolen Mercedes shortly after on I-20.  They began chasing that vehicle and they said a man driving the stolen red Charger was trying to interfere with their pursuit, getting in between the Mercedes and patrol cars.

The suspects in the Mercedes made it off an exit and escaped in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart.  That vehicle was recovered, but the occupants got away on foot. The red Charger was stopped in the median of I-20 when deputies performed a PIT maneuver that spun the vehicle out of control.

One of the suspects pointed a gun at deputies, and they shot him. Two guns were recovered from four suspects in the car.
