Cops were called to a New Russia Township home for a 17-year-old who wouldn't listen to his 72-year-old grandfather.
Edward Friel was so fed up with the boy he called 911.
Cops showed up minutes later.
According to the police report the grandfather complained that his grandson " is lazy and does nothing around the house." He also says he's "tired of him being lazy."
"The boy is a really good kid. It's just that he doesn't want to go to school, so that's our problem and we've been to court with that and stuff like that, " says the teen's grandmother.
The teen's grandmother says the boy was playing a video game a couple of weeks ago and refused to do chores around the house, so his grandfather cut the cord.
The teen was so mad he punched a hole in the kitchen wall.
"He was on the XBOX and he cut the cord to the XBOX and the Internet. He's 17 and it made him angry," says the teen's grandmother Mrs. Friel.
The teen's grandmother says the police scare got his attention, and at least for now his "lazy ways" are a thing of the past.
"He's getting better," says Mrs. Friel.
The teen's grandfather did not press any charges for the damage to his wall.
He told police he would handle the discipline.
