Police: Two women steal purse from grocery cart in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, OH (FOX19) - Fairfield police are seeking the public's held in identifying two women accused of stealing a purse out from a shopping cart at the grocery store.

The theft was reported at about 1:30 p.m. on April 18 at a Fairfield area grocery store. Authorities said while an older woman was unloading her grocery cart, the first suspect grabbed her purse from the bottom of the cart and quickly walked out of the store.

A second female suspect left the store shortly afterward. Fairfield police said both women got into a red/orange sports car and left the area.

Police said one woman was wearing a gray and blue hooded sweatshirt and has a large tattoo on the left side of her chest.
