(RNN) - Islamic extremist group Boko Haram kidnapped more than 270 schoolgirls from a town in northeastern Nigeria, sparking a worldwide outcry to rescue the girls.

The militant group is also accused of attacking a village in northeast Nigeria, killing at least 300 people.

Veterans Affair Secretary Eric Shinseki has ordered an audit at all Department of Veterans Affairs clinics following wait list issues at the Phoenix VA. Investigations found that as many as 40 veterans died at the Phoenix VA while waiting for treatment, according to CNN sources.

Monica Lewinsky wrote an essay for Vanity Fair after keeping a low profile for more than a decade. The former White House intern made headlines following an affair with President Bill Clinton in the '90s.

    A Batavia Township woman is recovering in the hospital from serious injury after being stabbed by a known suspect multiple times Sunday evening, according to a press release from the Clermont County Sheriff's Office.
