AMELIA, OH (FOX19) - Clermont County sheriff's deputies arrested during the weekend two people who authorities said were found with methamphetamine during a traffic stop.
Laura Buchannan, 26, of Milford, and Andrew Chase, 26, of Amelia, were each charged with one count of illegal assembly. That's a second degree felony.
The sheriff's office said at approximately 7:20 p.m. Saturday, a deputy made the traffic stop for moving violations near the intersection of Ohio Pike and Church Street in Amelia. The deputy suspected criminal activity and his canine sniffed the vehicle.
The deputy found powder methamphetamine, numerous items associated with manufacturing methamphetamine and an active methamphetamine lab called a "one pot" in the trunk.
The sheriff's office said all hazardous materials were neutralized and disposed of.
