Bystander Killed During Police Chase

Pedestrian struck by car being chased by sheriff's cruiser

Authorities in Cincinnati say a pedestrian died after being struck by a car that was being pursued by police. Hamilton County sheriff's officers said the victim was struck and killed last night by a car driven by a teen who fled police after a report of a theft at a gas station in suburban Cincinnati.

The victim's name wasn't released. Sheriff's officers said the driver of the fleeing car, 18-year-old Vernon Fears Junior of Cincinnati is charged with aggravated vehicular homicide.

Two juveniles in the car with him were charged with misdemeanor offenses.

On Sunday, a 68-year-old woman was killed when struck by a man fleeing police, also near Cincinnati.
