Several streets will be closed as work continues on the Cincinnati Streetcar Project. See the schedule below:
Closures for sewer lining work May 19-23:
Green Street in Over-the-Rhine between Race and Pleasant Streets: Closed from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday. Race Street will be reduced to one southbound lane. Detour signs will be posted.
Two north lanes of Third Street at Walnut and the two east lanes of Walnut: Closed from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday. The remaining two lanes on both Third Street and Walnut Street will be open. A police officer will direct traffic at the intersection throughout the day.
North lane of Eighth Street between Sycamore and Main streets and the west lane of Main at Eighth: Closed from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday and again from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. The remaining two lanes of Eighth Street and one lane of Main Street will be open. A police officer will direct traffic at the intersection throughout the day.
Overnight Closures For Water Main Tie-In Work: May 18-23 and May 27-31:
Walnut Street between Fourth and Fifth streets: Closed overnight from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Sunday, May 18, through Friday, May 23, and again on the evening of Tuesday, May 27, through Saturday, May 31. At the same time, Fourth Street will be closed from Walnut to Vine streets. Work is being suspended May 24 to May 26 to avoid disruption during the Taste of Cincinnati.
Westbound Fourth Street: Traffic will be limited to a left turn only at the Walnut Street intersection. Detour: Motorists on Walnut will be detoured east at Fifth Street, south on Sycamore, then west on Third Street. Detour signs will be posted.
Westbound Court Street: Closed nightly between Walnut and Main streets from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Sunday, May 18, through Tuesday, May 20.
Adjacent block of westbound Court Street: Closed nightly between Walnut and Vine streets from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Tuesday, May 20, through Thursday, May 22.
Motorists should allow extra time when traveling in areas with construction or consider alternative routes. Bus riders should visit www.go-metro.com for updated route information.
