Police investigate fatal accident at Ohio 747, Port Union Road in West Chester

WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) -
West Chester Township Police are investigating two accidents that happened Thursday morning about a minute apart where one person is dead.
The first accident was near Skatetown USA and Ohio 747 involving a black pickup truck that rear-ended another vehicle and then fled the scene.
About a minute later, the fleeing vehicle was on southbound Ohio 747 when it hit a vehicle at Ohio 747 and Port Union Road where the fatality happened. The victim in the second accident was driving a company vehicle.
The company vehicle was eastbound on Port Union Road turning on southbound Ohio 747 when the accident happened.
There were no injuries in the first accident. The driver of the pickup truck was transported to West Chester Hospital.
Police said preliminarily it appears the pickup truck was speeding. Also, police said initially it appears alcohol was not a factor.
