CLIFTON, OH (FOX19) - The Cincinnati Veteran Affairs Medical Center is cutting the ribbon Friday on its new state-of-the-art imaging center in Clifton.
The facility includes a radiology room, an MRI scanner, as well as a CT scanner. VA officials said this new addition will improve the healthcare of veterans.
The MRI scanner offers clearer images of the whole spine, cardiac and abdomen, peripheral and whole body angiograms. Officials said its speed will increase the radiology staff's productivity by 50 percent.
The CT technology can be used to review moving volumes of an entire organ with a single rotation and more.
The radiology room provides less radiation exposure for patients and staff.
The ribbon cutting and open house begins 10 a.m. Friday. The facility is located at 3200 Vine Street.
