Kasich appoints Hamilton Co. elections director as new judge

Ohio Gov. John Kasich has appointed Amy Searcy as a judge on the Hamilton County Domestic Relations Court.
Searcy has resigned her position as director of the Hamilton County Board of Elections. Searcy will start her position as a judge on Monday.
Searcy is a former magistrate in Hamilton County Municipal Court. She started at the board of elections in 2009.
Searcy is on the board of trustees for Talbert House. She is a member of the Cincinnatus Association, is a graduate of the JoAnn Davidson Leadership Institute and is a member of the Citizens on Patrol.
She lives in Crosby Township with her husband. She is the mother of two adult children and is a grandmother to five.
