Woman struck by skydiving plane propeller

MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) - A woman was hospitalized on Sunday after being struck by a plane propeller in Middletown.

It happened at around 1 p.m. at Start Skydiving, a skydive center located at Middletown Regional Airport Hook Field.

Middletown police said the victim is an employee of the skydiving company and that the plane was grounded when she was struck by the propeller.

The victim suffered serious injuries and  was transported to Miami Valley Hospital, according to Middletown officials.

The Federal Aviation Administration is reportedly assisting in the investigation. Police said more information will be released after the victim's family is notified.
