The Freestore Foodbanks serves more than 100,000 kids in 20 counties around Cincinnati each year and many of them face food insecurity during the summer months.

The Summer Food Service program by the Freestore Foodbank provides food to children who might not otherwise have access to it from June to August.

Kurt Rieber, CEO and President of the Freestore Foodbank, said they served more than 3,700 meals to children over the summer last year, and they expect to serve even more this year.
