Vigil for Travis Alexander on 6-year anniversary of his death
PHOENIX (CBS5) -
There's a candlelight vigil Wednesday night to remember the Mesa man murdered by his ex-girlfriend, Jodi Arias, six years ago.
The vigil for Travis Alexander is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in front of the Maricopa County Courthouse in downtown Phoenix.
His friends say they will release balloons in his honor.
The event is open to the public.
In May 2013, Arias was convicted in the 2008 murder of Alexander, but jurors couldn't reach a decision on a sentence. A second penalty phase is set for September as prosecutors again seek a death sentence.
