LEBANON, OH (FOX19) - The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced an OVI checkpoint planned for Friday evening in Warren County.
It will be held from 8 p.m. to 10 a.m. on U.S. 42 near Drake Road in Lebanon, in conjunction with the Warren County Sheriff's Office, the Lebanon Police Department and Clearcreek Township Police Department.
The OVI checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept drunk drivers.
"If you plan to consume alcohol, designate a driver or make other travel arrangements before you drink. Don't let another life be lost for the senseless and selfish act of getting behind the wheel impaired," an Ohio State Highway Patrol statement reads.
