Lower Price Hill Community School (LPHCS) announced a new name and branding Tuesday.
The institution is reorganizing to split into two non-profits, Education Matters and Community Matters.
LPHCS' GED program called Education Forward along with their College Bridge program and Cincinnati State satellite campus will now all fall under Education Matters. Community outreach services and resources will fall under Community Matters.
Mike Moroski, director of community programs for Community Matters, said LPHCS decided to rebrand to better meet the needs of the growing community.
Lower Price Hill Community School was originally founded in 1971 as a GED school in response to the overwhelming dropout rate in the Lower Price Hill community.
LPHCS says this reorganization will not require changes to the institution's staff or mission.
