FORECAST: Warm, humid first full day of Summer

(FOX19) -

Whether you'll be rowing down the Ohio River as part of Paddlefest, attending the Reds games at GABP (vs. Toronto Blue Jays @1:10 p.m.) or simply taking it easy in the back yard, you'll enjoy a typical day for this first full day of Summer.

Along with partly sunny skies, the mercury will rise into the mid 80s this afternoon and it will be rather muggy, too, with dew points in the mid 60s.  This increasingly unstable air mass in addition to a little wave of upper-level energy could lead to a spotty shower or thunderstorm this afternoon and evening.

A warm front will lift north of the Tri-State later tonight and could bring us our second 90° day of the year.  While scattered showers and thunderstorms are again possible Monday afternoon and evening, there's a much better chance of rain late Monday night and Tuesday as a cold front approaches our area.
