(RNN) - Some of Time Warner Cable's Road Runner email customers are continuing to experience an outage late Thursday.

The company posted on its Facebook page that the outage is due to an "intermittent issue."

USA Today said as of 9:30 p.m. ET Thursday, customers are still experiencing outage issues.

Some commenting on the statement said they haven't received email for at least three days, and are demanding the lack of service be reflected on their bill.

In an email statement, a spokesperson said:

Some of our Internet customers who use Road Runner email have been affected by an intermittent issue. Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible and we are sorry for any inconvenience.

Yes, customers in multiple markets are affected but the issue is intermittent and the vast majority of our Internet customers weren't affected at all.

Other customers in the Time Warner Cable online forum also complain email the past couple of weeks has been spotty.

According to the website Down Detector, large metro areas experiencing outages include areas around Austin, TX, San Antonio, TX, Louisville, KY, Kansas City, MO, San Diego, CA, Los Angeles, Orlando, FL, Tampa, FL, Columbia, SC, Charlotte, NC AND New York City.
