Holiday Travel Predicted to Hit Pre-9/11 Numbers

You'll have to be more patient in airports and on the roads, holiday travel is expected to reach an all time high. AAA says confidence in airline security and lower gas prices will push Thankgiving traveler stats to numbers above pre-9/11 levels for the first time. And that's despite the fact that air fare, hotel rates and gas prices have increased since this time last year.  More than 37 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more, that's a 3% increase. The national average for gas this Thanksgiving will be $1.97, $.47 more than last year, and airline travel is going up about 4% this year.
