To help facilitate adoptions, the Gallatin County Animal Shelter is allowing people to name their own adoption price for the remainder of the month.

Representatives from Gallatin County Animal Shelter say their kennel has capacity for 16 dogs, but they're currently housing 26. The shelter, located in Sparta, Kentucky, does not euthanize for space and they are the only ‘no kill' shelter in the county.

Approved adopters can name their own fee for dogs and cats. The shelter, located at 4550 Highway 455 in Sparta, is open daily from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

See all the animals up for adoption by clicking here or visit petfinder.com and search Gallatin County Animal Shelter.
