Separate near-drowning incidents sent two children to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon.

A six-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital after witnesses reported he was underwater for two minutes at the Brookside Swim Club in Sycamore.

EMS units reportedly administered CPR and brought his pulse back. He was taken to Cincinnati Children's Hospital where he is listed in serious but stable condition. Authorities said a lifeguard was on duty at the time.

The second incident happened at the Lakota Family YMCA in Butler County. Police said a nine-year-old girl was taken to Liberty Children's hospital after being pulled from the water. Her condition has not been released.
