Newlywed Murder

Man charged with strangling wife he met on the Internet

A western New York man is charged with second-degree murder for allegedly strangling his newlywed wife whom he met over the Internet. Authorities say the couple met in an online chat room soon after the 43-year-old woman moved to Wayne County from Tennessee. The couple had an eight-month online relationship. After that, the man traveled to Tennessee where they married last month. The couple then moved to New York to start their new lives. Authorities say the wife was unresponsive when sheriff's deputies arrived at the couple's home last Friday. Forty-four-year-old Craig Musso was arraigned yesterday on the murder charge. He's being held at the Wayne County Jail without bail.
