CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A home healthcare business owner from Lawrenceburg, Ind. pleaded guilty Monday to failing to pay employment taxes to the Internal Revenue Service.

Peggy Dossman, 42, faces a maximum of five years in prison and up to $250,000 in fines after being charged with one count of willfully failing to pay over employment taxes.

Court documents state Dossman was a partner in Southwest Home Healthcare between 2003 and 2010. During the 2008 and 2009 income tax years, Dossman and her partner allegedly deducted and collected income taxes and Federal Insurance Contributions Act (FICA) taxes from the wages of company employees, but failed to send those employment taxes to the IRS.

Carter Stewart, U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Ohio, said Dossman agreed to pay $352,472.77 in restitution to the IRS for part of 2008 and 2009. Stewart said she also agreed to pay more than $6,500 in restitution to the State of Ohio.

Dossman was released on bond until a sentencing date, which will be determined by U.S. District Chief Judge Susan Dlott.

Last month, Gina Kerth, 45, of Harrison, Ohio, who was also a partner in Southwest Home Healthcare, also pleaded guilty to one count of willfully failing to pay over employment taxes to the IRS.

Kerth was released on bond and a sentencing date was set for September 10.
