COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Crews are investigating the cause of a Monday evening fire inside a Colerain Township home.
Units were dispatched to 2545 Fulbourne Drive near Pippin Road around 5:45 p.m. First responders found heavy smoke exiting the home from a fire in the basement, according to authorities.
Officials said the majority of damage was confined to the basement and crews had the blaze under control within half an hour.
The single family home was unoccupied and undergoing renovations, according to District Chief Greg Brown.
Chief Brown said one firefighter was taken to the hospital with a back injury that is believed to be minor.
The Colerain Township Fire Department is continuing to investigate and said no damage estimate is available.
