(RNN) - Two died and several more people were wounded in a shooting in Miami early Tuesday morning, according to media reports.

CNN affiliate WPLG reported at least eight other people were injured. The shooting took place at an apartment complex in the Liberty City neighborhood.

One person died on the scene, according to Miami Fire Rescue. Four more were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where the other person died.

Police had not determined suspects or a motive for the shooting, according to the Associated Press.

"It's very early in our investigation," Miami police spokeswoman Frederica Burden told the AP. "I'm not sure how it occurred. We're investigating it now. I don't know if they were all outside standing, some in a car, some not in a car. I don't know that yet."
