NORWOOD, OH (FOX19) - If you've driven up Interstate 71 northbound, you've probably noticed the final phase of Norwood's Rookwood Exchange taking shape.
Development of a multi-story office building, another extended-stay hotel, a 127-unit apartment complex and a 750-car parking garage are planned for the space and are currently under construction.
The complex is on a triangle of land between I-71 and Edwards and Edmondson roads.
This 230,000 square foot office building is the latest project in the Rookwood area and is expected to be completed in early 2015.
Courtyard Marriott, The Capital Grille, and Seasons 52 were the latest tenants to open in the area.
Taste of Belgium also recently announced that they will be opening a location at the exchange.
Residents of the area fought Norwood's attempt to take their properties through eminent domain in the early 2000's but the city decided to allow the development.
By the time building is done, developers say the Rookwood Exchange will cost "in excess of $100 million."
