Fatal crash leads to a passenger killed in Highland County

MOUNT ORAB, OH (FOX19) - Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a one vehicle crash that occurred Friday night and left one passenger dead and a driver severely injured in Highland County.

Nelson Moler, 61, of Mt. Orab was traveling south on State Route 134 when he lost control of his vehicle and drove off the right side of the roadway and struck a mailbox.

The vehicle continued through a field and eventually struck a utility pole.

His passenger, Pamela Moler, 60, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Highland County Coroner.

Nelson Moler was transported to University Hospital by Life-Flight with life-threatening injuries.

OHSP believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
