CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A man wanted in connection to a homicide last week in Walnut Hills turned himself into police Wednesday.

Quamar Edwards was booked into the Hamilton County Jail on a murder charge for the death of 28-year-old Deandre Edwards.

Authorities said a sanitation worker found the body of DeAndre Edwards June 26 in the middle of the street in Walnut Hills. Edwards, 28, died from a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

An arrest warrant was issued last weekend for Quamar Edwards, saying he should be considered armed and dangerous. Edwards turned himself into police Wednesday morning.

Police said Quamar and DeAndre were not related.

The investigation remains ongoing, and anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Cincinnati Police Department Criminal Investigation Section at (513) 352-3042.
