PENDLETON COUNTY, KY (FOX19) -

13 horses involved in an animal cruelty case were adopted Sunday in only two hours.

The animals were found in April on a Pendleton County farm along with 49 deceased horses. Larry Browning, who owns the property, was charged with 14 counts of second degree animal cruelty.

Scott Pracht, who has been overseeing the horses since they were rescued, described the animals to be severely malnourished and emaciated. He says the horses are now healthy.

Pracht and his team will visit the adopters' farms to make sure they can sustain the horses before the sales are finalized. All the adopters were well-versed in horse-owning and a veterinarian even showed up, according to Pracht.

Browning reportedly has a trial set for August.
