National Weather Service confirms Monday tornado in Gallatin Co.

WARSAW, KY (FOX19) -

The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down in Gallatin County on Monday.

The EF-0 tornado touched down about two miles southwest of Warsaw, Ky.

According to the NWS, the tornado reached maximum wind speeds of 80 mph.

Docks and structures at Craigs Creek Lake were damaged as a result of the storm. Several trees also fell in neighborhoods near Route 42. Damage was also reported near Gallatin High School. The NWS determined the damage was caused by straight line winds.
