Three Hamilton County residents have been indicted for illegally voting in the 2012 general election.
Carmen Lockhart, 65, Bernus Charmont, 47, and Jean Gobeil, 61, are all charged with illegal voting, a fourth degree felony that could land them 18 months in prison, according to Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters.
Lockhart, Charmont, and Gobeil are in the United States legally but are not citizens, and therefore ineligible to vote.
The investigation started with the Ohio Secretary of State, who referred the matter to Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office. Officials say they do not anticipate and further illegal voting indictments in Hamilton County.
