Many food pantries in southwest Ohio say they're trying to serve as many hungry people as possible but that they're running out of food. Cincinnati's FreeStore/FoodBank is Hamilton County's largest emergency provider. Development director Jennifer Ebelhar says they're serving nearly five-thousand more people a year compared with three years ago. She says the organization probably can get through Thanksgiving but she's not sure they'll have enough donations to make it to Christmas. At the Liberty Street pantry, 13-hundred families were waiting to get food yesterday. The sluggish economy means more people need help and fewer are donating. At Serve City in Hamilton, director Gary Gruver says he's had to cut in half the number of bags families can get per visit.
