(FOX19) -

Friday was the start of the first-ever Buckle Up Music Festival, a three-day event that is bringing hundreds of country fans to the banks of the Ohio River.

The festival, put on by Bill Donabedian (the same man who brought us Bunbury and Midpoint), features music across six stages at Sawyer Point and Yeatman's Cove.

Friday's line up featured country stars Eric Paslay, Eli Young Band, Jamey Johnson and Alabama.

Unfortunately, rain entered the Tri-State last night during the show but that didn't stop fans from gathering around the stages to support their favorite bands.

The Cadillac Three was a much anticipated performance that ended up getting canceled because their bus broke down on the route from Columbus.

But the band arrived in the city late last night and tweeted that they were partying downtown.

For today, Steve Norris says there's a slight chance of rain this afternoon so you may want to bring your rain poncho just to be safe.

The festival kicks off at 2 p.m. this afternoon. As always, you can find everything you need to know before you go on the FOX19 website.
