Man found dead in a ravine off Rapid Run road

DELHI TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

A man was found dead alongside a road in Delhi Township Saturday night.

Delhi police were dispatched around 6 p.m. to the 6800 block of Rapid Run road in reference to a body found on the southside of the roadway over an embankment. 

Upon arrival police identified the male as, Christopher Shaw, 26.

Preliminary information collected at the scene suggests the death was a result of a hit-skip auto crash.

Police say it appeared the victim may have been walking eastbound along the roadway when he was hit. Shaw had left his house at Sayler Park area around 3 a.m. Friday morning.

Shaw lived up the hill and frequently walked up the road.

The incident is being investigated by the Criminal Investigation Section and Traffic Safety Unit from the Delhi police department.
