NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Tennessee man has been arrested for allegedly making threats to kill President Barack Obama, other politicians and several Tennessee officials.

As of Tuesday afternoon, 45-year-old Jimmie Randall Johnson Jr. was still being held in the Metro Nashville jail on harassment charges.

Investigators allege that Johnson left voicemails threatening to kill Obama, former presidential candidate Mitt Romney, former vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan and Tennessee Department of Homeland Security Assistant Commissioner David Purkey by blowing up an airport.

The phone calls were allegedly made July 11 and 12 and were left on the voicemail at the Tennessee Department of Homeland Security in the Tennessee Tower in downtown Nashville.

According to the public record, Johnson went on to say he will "light Nashville up."

In one of the voicemails, investigators say Johnson made a specific threat against Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Special Agent Tommy Farmer, who heads the state's meth task force.

Authorities said Johnson specifically said he was going to have Farmer shot in Chattanooga.

Investigators say Johnson's current address is in Ardmore, TN. His cell phone was traced, and he was arrested in Huntsville, AL, on Friday.

The U.S. Secret Service and several state agencies are still investigating.
