A missing girl has been found after an amber alert was issued Saturday morning, but police are still looking for her father who allegedly took her.

Police say 5-year-old Kelcie Hawkins was found safe in Cincinnati about an hour after the alert was issued.

Police are still looking for her father, Kaelin Teron Hawkins, 34, who is believe to be driving a 2003 Chevy Suburban with the Ohio license place FNV7233.

Police say the child abduction happened after a domestic assault occurred on Ledro Street at 2:30 a.m. The estranged husband allegedly assaulted his wife and then took their 5-year-old daughter.

Kaelin Hawkins may be armed with a knife.
