A Northern Kentucky man was arrested Monday in connection to a child sex abuse case dating back to 2001.
Earl Evans, 70, of Union, Ky., was charged with first degree sexual abuse. The Boone County Sheriff's Office said the incident involved a 7-year-old girl left in his care.
Evans is accused of touching the girl as well as having her "touch him in an inappropriate manner," a release states from sheriff's department spokesman Tom Scheben.
If convicted, Evans could face up to 10 years in prison.
