(RNN) - Whether you like Lady Gaga’s pop music or not, her jazz music will blow you away. And it's finally official, she and Tony Bennett are recording an entire album together.

Two years ago, Gaga recorded The Lady is a Tramp with Bennett for his album, Duets II, and the two claimed they were going to do an album. However, as the months went by, those claims started looking doubtful.

They took everyone by surprise on Tuesday when they officially announced a release date for the album, Cheek to Cheek, and threw fans a bone with the release of a single from the album – classic jazz tune Anything Goes.

The video for Anything Goes features clips of the two recording together over the past two years, and will undoubtedly bring a smile to your face.

Cheek to Cheek is comprised of a number of jazz hits including Sophisticated Lady, Lush Life, Anything Goes and the title track. It also features jazz musicians such as Mike Renzi, Gray Sargent, Harold Jones and Marshall Wood, according to Billboard.

If you’ve ever doubted Lady Gaga’s vocal ability, we encourage you to check out her jazz side.

Cheek to Cheek drops Sept. 23. Listen to Anything Goes here.

The highest paid country star may not be who you think

It’s safe to say that country music is taking over the music industry. Don’t believe us? Check out these facts from Forbes:

  • Three of the top 10 best-selling albums in U.S. last year were country.
  • Luke Bryan was the No. 2 top selling artist of 2013, behind Justin Timberlake.
  • Florida Georgia Line’s hit song Cruise was the No. 4 most downloaded song and beat out both Lorde’s Royals and Katy Perry’s Roar.

Which brings us to the top 12 highest paid country musicians in the world this year. Country music is huge but you might be surprised at the results (Taylor Swift and Luke Bryan are not No. 1 - but they did make the list).

Surprisingly, Brad Paisley and Blake Shelton are tied for 12th by bringing in a total of $23 million in 2014. And the big No. 1 spot goes to - Toby Keith. The country legend brought in a whopping $65 million over the past year.

From Vine to viral

Ever heard of Shawn Mendes? Yeah, us either.

But he started the week sitting on top of the iTunes charts, ahead of Aussie boy band 5 Seconds of Summer, Sam Smith, Weird Al and Ed Sheeran - a virtual unknown taking down the big boys of iTunes.

Turns out Mendes is a Vine star and used his platform to launch his EP all the way to No. 1 - in less than an hour.

Never underestimate the power of a swell of tech-savvy teen girls with iTunes cards to burn.

Stevie Nicks drops October surprise

An album-full of previously unreleased songs from Stevie Nicks are coming out of the vault.

24 Karat Gold - Songs from the Vault drops Oct. 7.

Nicks will have a busy fall, as she’s also joining Team Adam as an adviser on The Voice and touring with Fleetwood Mac, which, for the first time in years, includes Christine McVie in the lineup.

“Each song is a lifetime. Each song has a soul. Each song has a purpose. Each song is a love story ... They represent my life behind the scenes, the secrets, the broken hearts, the broken hearted and the survivors,” Nicks said in statement.

The woman even writes poetry in her press releases.

Take my money, now.

Three pop powerhouses team up for dance tune

As the ultimate pop trio, Jessie J, Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande have teamed up for a song called Bang Bang - the first single from Jessie J’s upcoming album due out in the fall.

We think the up-tempo tune compliments each artist’s style quite well, and if anything, it’s a great song to embarrassingly dance in the car to. You can listen to it for yourself, here.

Bang Bang will also appear on Grande’s upcoming album, My Everything.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are back - in an alternative rock song

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis fell off the radar for a bit after they swept the rap category of the 2014 Grammy awards. But now they’re making a return, it just isn’t in hip-hop.

The popular duo teamed up with alternative band Fences to create the new single Arrows. Fences’ Christopher Mansfield turned to Macklemore for a catchy, very Macklemore-esque verse and to Lewis to produce the tune.

Arrows will appear on Fences’ upcoming album Lesser Oceans, which drops Oct. 14.

You can listen to the collaboration here.

And finally ..

Ozzy isn’t the kind of musician you take home to mom.

Camielle and Kennerly, The Harp Twins, have turned the Crazy Train into something more docile, though. Mom-friendly, you might say.

Check out their cover of Ozzy’s best-known song.

And if you need more aggressive rock by harp, here’s their 2011 cover of Guns N’ Roses Sweet Child of Mine.
