A jury reached a verdict Friday in the death of a Dayton teen that was beaten and died in a hospital in December 2013.

The jury found Michael Watson guilty of murder, kidnapping, aggravated robbery, and tampering with evidence.

Watson was not found guilty of aggravated murder and rape.

Court officials say the other defendant, Michael Geldrich, pleaded guilty to charges including aggravated murder. Geldrich will be sentenced later.

Authorities say Watson and another man fatally beat 16-year-old Dione Payne, in an attempt to steal drugs and money from him in Franklin.
