A man's body was found Friday afternoon in the Licking River near the border of Newport and Covington.
Responding officers said the body was reported by a boater around 10 a.m. about 100 yards north of the 4th Street Bridge. The man has not been identified.
It was not known how the man ended up in the river. Foul play was not suspected, police said.
In addition, police added there were no missing person reports around the area when the body was discovered.
