MASON, OH (FOX19) -

All tennis fans head to mason Sunday to experience the Western Southern Open, which brings some of the best tennis stars to the Lindner Family Tennis Center.

The week long tennis tournament is a annual tradition for the Eilenman boys.

"This is unbelievably fantastic. This is a great experience and it's incredible how close you can get to the players, it's remarkable," said Chris Eilenmann.

It's remarkable for Chris and his sons, Owen and Auggie, to watch their German favorite, Julia Georges, warm up, but Pete Holtermann, the Western Southern Open media expert, says what's more amazing is the attendance.

"We already had 13,000 fans here on Saturday just for qualifying and watching all these major stars practice. But it's great because we get fans in from all over the country and all over the world," he said.

The draw to the tennis tournament is also good for Cincinnati, expected to rake in more than $60 million dollars.

At the tournament, food vendors, music, and entertainment. Graeter's is the official ice cream of the tournament and is unveiling a brand new ice cream flavor for the matches. A good treat before you spend time with the players.

"The players are doing autograph sessions, they are willing to stop and take selfies with you, so it's a great time all over the grounds," said Holtermann.
