Mom kicked out of restaurant for changing diaper
A Texas mother and her three children were kicked out of a pizza restaurant after she changed a diaper at the table, KHOU reports.
Miranda Sowers said she took her 4-month-old daughter Reagan into the bathroom of Brother's Pizza Express in Spring, Texas. However, there was no changing table.
She was alone with her baby, 4-year old daughter Lauren and 8-year old daughter Katelyn. With all three kids in tow, Sowers didn't want to take everyone outside to the minivan to change the baby's diaper.
"I thought you know what I've got my own changing pad, she's tiny, she fits right here on the chair." Sowers told KHOU. "So I laid her down quickly and quietly changed her diaper."
Sowers claimed no one saw her change the diaper. The family's food was brought out in "to go" boxes and they were asked to leave.
KHOU spoke with Bessa Lala, whose family owns the restaurant.
"How would you feel," Lala said. "You're sitting there eating. I don't want to lose all these other customers because they see a dirty diaper."
Donny Lala is the manager and said customers started complaining, according to KHOU. A regular customer sent a text message to employees about what was going on.
Sowers filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, while the pizza employees stand behind their decision.
#Supermoon stuns around the world
Skywatchers experienced a supermoon Sunday night, the largest and closest full moon of the year. It happens when the moon is near the horizon.
The full moon appears 14% bigger and 30% brighter than when it is at its farthest, NASA says.
