NORTHERN KENTUCKY (FOX19) -

TANK is linking Boone, Campbell & Kenton counties with better transit service via the 35X East-West Express.  For the week of August 18-22, TANK will offer free rides to everyone on the 35X route.

"We want the community to try the service and see just how convenient it is," states TANK GM Andrew Aiello in a press release.  "The route connects destinations that TANK has never connected before…we think we have a home run with this route.  I would like to personally invite others that travel in this Northern Kentucky I-275 east-west corridor to take the opportunity to check out the service."

The launch of service across the three counties marks the first time in decades that TANK has linked major destinations across Northern Kentucky with a one-seat transit ride.

In August, TANK began operation of the 35X East-West Express.  The route connects Florence, the Dixie Highway corridor, Crestview Hills, Ft. Wright and the NKU campus with direct service.  It is the first step in TANK's efforts to improve access and connections, over the next several years, within Northern Kentucky.

The route will not travel to downtown Cincinnati, but will focus on direct travel between key destinations such as:  Florence Mall, TANK Florence Hub, Crestview Town Center, TANK Ft. Wright Hub and NKU.
