Hebron house fire caused by lightning storm

HEBRON, KY (FOX19) -

A Hebron house fire was caused by a lightning storm early Wednesday morning. 

The Hebron Fire Protection District was dispatched for a structure fire at approximately 2:15 a.m. to the area of Rivermeade and Lost Willow Court. 

Firefighters say when they first arrived on scene there was a heavy fire coming through the roof.

Firefighters say the family was out of town but weren't far.  The family came back once they were informed of the fire. 

Boone County Deputy and Hebron firefighters did rescue four dogs from the scene.

The Red Cross was dispatched as a formality for two adults and two children. No injuries were reported.
