(CNN) - For an entertainer, performing at half-time during the Super Bowl is probably the best exposure you can get.

Now the NFL reportedly wants half-time acts to pay for the privilege.

According to the Wall Street Journal, NFL reps have asked some potential acts if they would be willing to contribute a portion of their post-Super Bowl tour income to the league or make a financial contribution in exchange for the prime-time gig.

The Paper reports the NFL has narrowed down the list of potential performers for the 2015 Super Bowl to three candidates: Katy Perry, Rihanna and Coldplay.

The Super Bowl brings in a huge audience.

According to Nielsen Ratings, 2014’s halftime show featuring Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers drew in just over 115 million viewers - more than the game itself.
