LOCKLAND, OH (FOX19) -

Two people were indicted Wednesday in the abduction and murder of Lockland businessman James Rolman.

Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph Deters announced the indictment of Christopher McFerron, 44, and Jason Brown, 33, Wednesday.

Both McFerron and Brown are charged with aggravated murder, murder, aggravated robbery and kidnapping in the death of 72-year-old Rolman. McFerron was also charged with one count of failure to comply.

Rolman, who owned Hirschberg Steel Company and Recycling Center, went missing from a U.S. Bank on July 25 after withdrawing $6,500.

He was found shot to death the following morning inside his car. The car was parked in a silo at a closed trucking company on Smalley Road where police say McFerron worked two years ago.

McFerron was arrested on July 26 following a police chase through Colerain Township. After several attempts to get McFerron to stop, police were able to arrest him.

"Mr. Rolman was someone who made a habit out of helping people," said Prosecutor Deters. "If McFerron and Brown had asked Mr. Rolman for money, he probably would have given it to them. Unfortunately, our community lost someone who tried to help others and got two more people facing a life time in prison."
