Firefighter injured in Sedamsville fire

SEDAMSVILLE, OH (FOX19) - A firefighter was injured Thursday night while battling a blaze in a Sedamsville home.

The fire started around 9 p.m. in the first floor of the house, located in the 2600 block of River Road.

Authorities say a firefighter fell off a 6 foot landing edge on the second floor. His injuries are not life-threatening, according to officials on-scene.

The firefighter was treated and released from the hospital Friday morning with minor injuries.

No one was home at the time and the cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to the district chief. The damage is estimated at $25,000.
