Metro police officers patrolling Nashville's neighborhoods will soon be much more visible.
Friday, the Metro Nashville Police Department unveiled new police lights that will be placed on its squad cars.
Unlike the flashing blue emergency lights we're all familiar with, these lights can be kept on constantly. The goal is to show people that officers are keeping an eye on their neighborhoods.
The lights are already on 20 of Metro's newest squad cars. They will be placed on all new vehicles from here on.
