A convicted rapist, kidnapper, and robber is on the loose.

The Warren County Sheriff's Office says 41-year-old Larry Tumbleson walked away from his halfway house in Lebanon on Aug. 10. Family members say he goes by the nickname "doodles" not Larry.
FOX19 learned that the halfway house notified the adult parole authority of Tumbleson's disappearance and the parole authority started issuing warrants. But nothing was released to the public.
It wasn't until the sheriff's office did a random check for warrants out for sex offenders that they found Tumbleson missing.

"We want to get him off the streets just due to the nature of his convictions," said Lieutenant Eric Johnson with the Warren County Sheriff's Office.
In 2009, Tumbleson was convicted of rape, kidnapping, and robbery. He spent nearly five years in prison and since his release, he has to register as a tier three sex offender, the most serious classification.
"Anytime that you have somebody that is out there that walks away that is a registered sex offender and he is of a violent offender, a rapist, a kidnapper, a robber, we obviously get concerned not only for the public but for obviously any victims that he may have had or his previous victims," said Johnson.
In July, Tumbleson was sent to the Turtlecreek Center, which houses people who are still under the supervision of the adult parole authority. But on Aug. 10, he was nowhere to be found.
"You're not locked up there, you can come and go as you please. It's more of a transition from prison back into normal society. The people that stay there do have to follow certain rules. If they do not follow those rules they are subject to the penalties of whatever their parole status is," said Johnson.
Lieutenant Eric Johnson with the Warren County Sheriff's Office says as a sex offender, Tumbleson also failed to notify them of any changes to his address.

"These are very serious charges that he was convicted of and due to that we're very concerned as to where he is," said Johnson.
Johnson says all of these charges stem from the same incident several years back, but the crime didn't happen in Warren County, so he says locating Tumbleson could be a challenge.
"He's not from our county. He was committed out of a different county and brought into our county. We don't have a lot of history on him here in our county so the public is crucial in finding Mr. Tumbleson," said Johnson.

FOX19 did reach out to both the parole office and Turtlecreek for comment on why it took so long for this to get out to the public, but they did not return our calls. If Tumbleson is found, he will be going back to prison.

Anyone with information regarding Tumbleson's whereabouts is asked to contact the Warren County Sheriff's Office or the Ohio Adult Parole Authority.
