(FOX19) - One person was killed Wednesday morning after a car collided head-on with a pickup truck along U.S. 27 in Ross Township.
It was reported at about 6 a.m. on Ross Millville Road (U.S. 27), just north of Ross, Ohio.
According to police, the preliminary investigation shows that the car, a Chrysler Concord, went left of the center line and struck the Ford F150.
Authorities said the driver of the car, who is said to be in his teens or early 20s, died in the crash.
The driver of the pickup truck, who police say is in his 60s, was taken to Fort Hamilton Hospital for chest pains. The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time.
Ross Township and Butler County Police responded to the wreck.
The names are being withheld pending notification to family.
The accident is still under investigation by S.T.A.R.T investigators and the Butler County Coroner's Office.
